This Privacy Notice[1] is issued in compliance with the provisions of articles 6, 8, 15 and 16 of the Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Individuals (hereinafter the Law), its regulations and other applicable legal provisions.

Expo México, S.A. de C.V., (hereinafter Expo México) is committed to the transparency, security and privacy of the personal data[2] of its customers, suppliers and users. When collecting and processing[3] your personal data, Expo Mexico is committed and obliged to observe and comply with the principles of legality, consent, quality, information, purpose, loyalty, proportionality and responsibility set forth in the Law (article 6).

This privacy notice applies to all types of information, including information related to Sensitive Personal Data[4] of our customers, suppliers and users. For the aforementioned, and at the moment of using the Site, you grant your consent to Expo México to collect, use and transfer your Personal Data for the purposes specified below. If you do not accept or do not wish to be subject to this privacy notice, you should not use the Site.

In order to comply with the provisions of Article 16 of the Law, the following is indicated:

IDENTITY AND ADDRESS

The Site is a web page of Expo México, S.A. de C.V., a business corporation duly incorporated under the laws of the United Mexican States, domiciled for the purposes of this Privacy Notice at Avenida Santa Fe, number 270, colonia Santa Fe, Alcaldía Álvaro Obregón, Mexico City, C.P. 01210.

In terms of Article 30 of the Law, any communication related to this Privacy Notice should be sent to the address referred to above and/or to the e-mail  info@exposantafe.com.mx, where the authorized personnel will be in charge of the collection and treatment, as well as of the requests related to the access, rectification, cancellation or opposition of the Personal Data.

PURPOSE

The personal information that you provide to us through the use of the Site will be part of our database for the following purposes: to identify you, locate you, communicate with you, contact you, send you information, update our database and obtain statistics, as well as for services and activities related to the Site and Expo México, promotional and advertising items.

For the purposes mentioned above, the following personal data may be collected:

  3. E-mail
  4. Company
  5. RFC 

ACCESS INFORMATION

We may collect information about your mobile device and/or computer, including, where available, your geographic location, IP address, operating system and browser type, device type, bandwidth, etc., for system administration.

We may also maintain details of your visits to our Site, including but not limited to traffic data, location data, web logs and other communication data, time spent on the Site. To the extent that this information can identify you directly or indirectly and is combined with other information, it is subject to this privacy notice.

OPTIONS AND MEANS MADE AVAILABLE TO YOU TO LIMIT THE USE OR DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA.

Expo Mexico has the necessary security, administrative, technical and physical measures implemented in accordance with their security policies and procedures, to ensure your personal data against improper or unlawful use, unauthorized access, prohibiting its unlawful disclosure and limiting its treatment as provided in this privacy notice and applicable law.

MEANS TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS ARCO ARCO[5]

As the owner of the personal data, you may exercise against Expo Mexico any of the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (hereinafter ARCO Rights) provided for in Article 22 of the Law and explained below, with the understanding that each of these rights is independent of each other, that is, it is not necessary to exhaust one to exercise any of the other three or you can exercise any of them:

Access: You have the right to request Expo México to inform you if it has any of your personal data in its databases[6].

Rectification: You have the right to have your personal data corrected if it is in the possession of Expo Mexico. To do so, we may ask you to submit documentation that proves the corrections you request.

Cancellation: You have the right to request, once the relationship with Expo Mexico ends, the cancellation of your personal data in possession of Expo Mexico.

Opposition: You have the right to request Expo México to refrain from processing your personal data in certain situations. However, Expo México will not be obliged to suspend the processing of data in the cases indicated in the Law.

Requests for the exercise of your ARCO rights must be submitted in writing or by email as mentioned in this privacy notice. Your request must contain at least: (I) your name and address or means to receive communications; (II) a copy of your official identification or documents proving the personality of the legal representative; (III) a clear and precise explanation of the personal data to which you wish to have access, rectify, cancel or oppose; (IV) any other element or document that facilitates the location of your personal data.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Expo México, may transfer your personal data only to the following persons and/or entities, with the understanding that such persons and/or entities will keep strict confidentiality with respect to the information provided:

  1. The controlling companies, subsidiaries or affiliates of Expo Mexico, in Mexico or abroad.
  2. Third service providers for compliance with legal, accounting, regulatory or contractual obligations of Expo Mexico or any of its controlling companies, subsidiaries or affiliates, in Mexico or abroad.

The Site may contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you decide to follow these links to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy notices and Expo Mexico accepts no responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

MODIFICATIONS TO THE PRIVACY NOTICE

Expo Mexico reserves the right to modify this privacy notice at any time. Your use of the Site indicates your consent to the posted Privacy Policy. Please review these Policies regularly for any changes.

[1] The Law defines Privacy Notice as the physical document, electronic or in any other format generated by the responsible party that is made available to the holder, prior to the processing of his Personal Data.

[2]  The Law defines Personal Data as any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person.

[3] The processing of Personal Data refers to any operation carried out with your Personal Data, from its collection, use, disclosure, storage and up to its cancellation and deletion.

[4] The Law defines Sensitive Personal Data as those Personal Data that affect the most intimate sphere of its owner, or whose improper use may give rise to discrimination or entail a serious risk for the owner.

[5] Pursuant to the fourth transitory article of the Law, you are informed that your ARCO rights may be exercised eighteen months after the entry into force of the “Law”.
